It's the Eve of Christmas and poor Dad has no money. He's with his daughter, who is twelve years old; the house rent was due and the landlord is coming to get his money or kick Mr Walter, the poor Dad and his daughter, out of their apartment; also, there's the need for him to bring food to the table for his daughter and himself; and especially, it's the yuletide season...
This article will tell you about the poor Dad and how he was able to have that amazing Christmas, which he least had expected:
In the end of this story, this POOR Dad had a great, unexpected Christmas Eve celebration; with Charlie, his daughter.
In the end of this story, this POOR Dad had a great, unexpected Christmas Eve celebration; with Charlie, his daughter.
Poor Dad has no money on Christmas Eve and he has got some bills to pay, he has to make provision of the Christmas needs for his family: What should he do?
He made beautiful Christmas trees for sale and took them out to the street to sell them to people, who might want to get a Christmas tree; but all the people seem to have lost the celebration spirit of Christmas, maybe; because the year has not really been favourable to them.
Poor Dad has need to raise money, so he made Christmas trees to sell on the Eve of Christmas: did he sell them? No! So how come his basic needs we're all met, in the due course of time? He and his daughter decided to give the trees as gifts, since they can't sell them; and the trees are going to be worth Nothing, after the Christmas Eve...
This article, will show you how to give thanks to God for what you have, which was given to you by Him: a young man was not happy about the color of this very shoe he was wearing, hut when he got to the street and saw another guy, whose feet, was amputated; he became sorry that he hasn't been grateful to God, for his leg, let alone, the shoe...
No one will give in, to buying the trees; everyone seems to be going through a lot of issues at the moment:
one of his close neighbors, Mrs Cynthia, had lost her daughter last year and would not enjoy the Christmas celebration. Every Christmas, she would make a sweater for her daughter and give it to her as a present for the Christmas. She knitted a sweater this Christmas, because, it has become a tradition for her. She is not going to celebrate because she has lost her daughter, who brings the Christmas tree and have her hand-knitted sweater and that's Christmas; for her!
Mr Frank and his lovely wife would put up Christmas decorations and light up the mood for celebration on Christmas, but this year, they decided otherwise: it was a leap year and like most people will believe, it's usually not a favorable year...
Mrs Frank, had suffered from a severe Cancer and that has put the family and business resources to shambles...
They're almost broke and have lost the celebration spirit of Christmas. They'll not do their usual "tradition" of decor.., at Christmas; they have lost appetite for Christmas celebration...
- Don't let your emotions to put you in a place, where you are supposed to be...
- Don't let situation be the determinants of how you feel about things, it's a very destructive move...
What about her..?
She's the wife of the landlord, who was going home to sign divorce papers...
She and her husband have been going through a lot lately, maybe; there's not enough money to get a Christmas tree: she practically turned Mr Walter down, when he earlier tried to sell the tree to her...
In her own words, she said: "it's been a very terrible year! And why would anyone even want to celebrate this Christmas?"
In her own opinion, no one else should be happy and make merry, because she's not...
But should it be so?This poor Dad has no money to bring some food to the table for his daughter and himself, he has no money to get his daughter a Christmas present; but she's fine. Their house rent was due and the landlord is coming, to get his money or throw them out of the apartment; poor Dad has no money; and it's Christmas Eve.
Mr Walter is a poor Dad, who lives in the Bahamas, with his twelve years old daughter. His wife died, a few years ago and things have become difficult and so hard for the poor Dad...
During the time, when she was alive: at Christmas, Mrs Walter will remind the family that "Christmas isn't about receiving, it's about giving..."
You cannot give that, which you haven't received: it's a principle, "...if you have a need, sow the seed; guard it to grow and water the ground for it to do well: you will be in the position to have more than enough..."
Poor Dad wasn't poor, because it's his destiny; he isn't lazy, either; but maybe he lacked insight: have you wonder how and why people run their sales and celebration during Christmas and festive seasons?
Festive season is not for business; per say, but everyday is business; mind you
During the Christmas of the year 2020, I was hosted in the home of a poor Dad and he narrated the story of how the 2020 Christmas Eve made his family's biggest Christmas day celebration!
Mr Walter made some beautiful trees for Christmas sales, he had thought that he will be able to raise the money he'll be needing to take care of the necessity that's surrounding him, especially this Christmas; that is the seventh one he is celebrating without the company of his beautiful wife: she will always raise the spirit of Christmas decorations and the celebration that follows...
There's no food in the fridge and on the table for Mr Walter and his daughter, Ms Charlie; this is going to be the first Christmas that Ms Charlie is not getting a Christmas present, on Christmas Eve; the house rent has been, since, due and the landlord will soon be coming, to get his money; or throw them out, of the apartment; and the poor Dad has no money, it's Christmas Eve.
He brought his Christmas trees for sale on the street, but who wants to buy the trees?Poor Dad has believed Charlie, when she asserted that something will work out: did something really worked out?
Yes! Everything worked out well; in the end, Mr Walter could not believe what happened...
Mr Frank and his wife, brought Charlie and her poor Dad some food, finally, Ms Charlie got a present from Mrs Cynthia and the rent bill was laid off! Wow! So, what really happened?
- Learn to be the master of your emotions...
- Do what you have to do...
- Give...
After trying to sell the trees, with no one, indicating their interest in buying any; Mr Walter was downcast and cried out: "It's of no use! All these trees will be worth nothing, after tonight..."Everyone he tries to sell to turned him down: especially this woman you see in the picture above. She is Mr Walter's landlady, the wife of his landlord. She is having a hard time with her husband and they're going to have a divorce.
The year has been a very horrible one for her: she and her husband have had a hard time lately, always quarrelling and fighting; all the time. It got so bad; that they filled up a divorce! This poor Dad tried, but couldn't sell his Christmas trees: what's he going to do? It's Christmas Eve already; and all the trees would worth nothing, after that day...
Poor Dad didn't have enough money to pay for the rent, bring food to the table and get a Christmas present for Charlie.
He felt bad, but was lightened up by his daughter, Charlie: "Hey, I don't want a Christmas present..." But, what about the house rent? What about food...?
Charlie would remind Mr Walter that her mom would always say, thus; "Christmas isn't about receiving, it's about giving."
Poor Dad, didn't have enough money to pay the rent, bring food to the table and at least; get Charlie some Christmas present: he made beautiful Christmas trees, to sell to our neighbors; but everyone seems to have lost the spirit of Christmas.
Now, Mr Walter remembered his wife's companionship and wished she was there to tell them what to do...
Here's what To Do...
Since we cannot sell the trees and after today, they will worth nothing, why not give them out for free?
Since we cannot sell the trees and after today, they will worth nothing, why not give them out for free?
Charlie, would suggest that they give the trees out for free, since they can't sell them; and they'll be worth nothing, after that day: "... let's give them out for free..."
Mr Walter, at first will be startled; what is she suggesting? How can giving our trees out for free, pay the rent, put food on the table and get Charlie a Christmas present? "I don't know..." Ms Charlie, would say... "But it might help raise the Christmas spirit:" Charlie would strongly suggest: the issue, here is that the Christmas spirit was down in the people; it's been a hard and horrible year! Thus, Mrs Smith, would ask; "Why would anyone even want to celebrate this Christmas? Let, alone; buy a Christmas tree?" The year has been a very horrible one, according to her.
Mr and Mrs Frank, have decided not to celebrate this Christmas, because of what they have been through; during the course of the year. Mrs Frank had an unimproving Cancer, a situation that weighed down their Christmas spirit; so that they did not perform the tradition of decorating their home for Christmas...
Mrs Cynthia, is yet another person: she lost her daughter last year and couldn't break the tradition of hand knitting a sweater for her daughter. She decided that she wasn't going to celebrate this Christmas, because she doesn't have the Christmas spirit anymore; since her daughter that lights up her Christmas Eve with a Christmas tree is no more...
Mrs Smith, Mr and Mrs Frank and Mrs Cynthia; were among the friends and neighbors that got "the poor dad's gift of Christmas trees"; they all have lost the celebration spirit of Christmas: it's been a sort of hard and a horrible year and everyone and everything seems affected...
Job 22:29 [Kjv]: "When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person."
2020, was indeed, a horrible year that subjected the people, to abject hardship and hard life: it's also a leap year, there was more than enough to learn and to earn; so many people got kicked out of their jobs and most businesses had to close down, due to the issue of the global pandemic and the lockdown effect. So, it was really horrible; and the people's celebration spirit was cast down, but there's something that can be done...
Everyone in the neighborhood, seems to be facing a lot of hard time; and for Mrs Smith, "It's been a horrible year..."
But what can poor Dad do to help? He made Christmas trees, to lighten up the Christmas spirit, but Mr Frank and his wife have already decided that they are not going to celebrate this Christmas, because, for them; there's no appetite for Christmas celebration. What about Mrs Cynthia? She decided that she's not celebrating this year, because she lost her daughter that lights up the mood for Christmas celebration, last year. And for Mrs Smith, she's been going through a lot with her husband, lately. They will quarrel and fight, all the time and things went so bad that they filled for a divorce. She practically turned the poor Dad down, when he tried earlier to sell a tree to her. She said: "No! It's been a horrible year; and I even, wonder why anyone would think of celebrating this Christmas; let alone, buy a Christmas tree..."
The spirit of Christmas was really down in almost all the homes, except in poor dad's home: maybe, because there were no kids in those homes or something...
The Christmas spirit was lited up in the poor dad's home; he made Christmas trees for sale, but nobody is looking at his Christmas trees, let alone; want to buy...
Poor Dad was disappointed: he expects to raise money from the sale of those trees, so he could pay the rent, put food on the table for Charlie and himself and at least get Charlie some presents for Christmas...
Now, it's Christmas Eve and poor Dad hasn't sold a single tree: and this night, these trees will be worth nothing. Poor Dad didn't even have enough money to celebrate this Christmas, but he lighted up the spirit; maybe, because of Charlie or it's been a tradition.
"After tonight, these trees will be worth nothing: Christmas isn't about receiving, it's about giving..."
Have you observed entrepreneurs and NETWORK marketers, who will follow up on you; and persuade you, until you buy their books or some products?
They want to raise money: money flows towards the direction of people with a positive attitude {spirit}. Raise the Christmas spirit!
Charlie had suggested that they give the trees out for free, because she thinks it will help to raise the Christmas spirit...
The Christmas spirit is the attitude of celebration and happiness: in on strong word, you call it "enthusiasm:" most of the people you see today have lost their own and it affected the communication system of their relationship...
Thus, Mr Walter and Charlie, decided to give away the Christmas trees for free to their neighbors and strangers; which brought them blessing and open doors...
The Poor Dad's Gift Of Christmas Trees...He needed to raise money for Christmas, so he made some Christmas trees for sale and tried to sell them, but couldn't sell any; it's Christmas Eve and not even a single tree have been sold: what happened?
The Christmas spirit was down within their neighborhood: everyone has got a reason why they shouldn't be celebrating this very Christmas...
- The year has been horrible!
- The people have been through a lot and would not see any reason to celebrate...
- The economy has not been favorable, due to the pandemic and recession...
But Ms Charlie, had believe what her late mom always say: "Christmas isn't about receiving, it's about giving..."
So, whether she gets a Christmas present on the Eve of Christmas or not; Charlie's Christmas spirit is lit: she just wants to be happy and healthy, alive; with her loved ones; friends, family, business partners and associates; just that!
Poor Dad has no money on Christmas Eve: he hasn't got enough money to bring food to the table, pay the rent and get Charlie a Christmas present...
So, he made some Christmas trees for sale: people haven't received the spirit of Christmas; no one was thinking about the Christmas celebration; this year, let alone; buy a Christmas tree...
"It's no use!" Poor Dad exclaimed, "... after tonight, these trees will be worth nothing."
- Do not let what you don't have stop you from knowing what you have and all that you can get...
- Learn to maintain a healthy positive spiritual, mental, emotional and physical attitude; you will be developing the wealthy and rich dad's mindset...
- Even in free town, nothing is free: there's a price you must pay for any solution to work...
After trying to sell the trees, without any single tree sold; by the Eve of Christmas, Charlie suggested that they give away the trees for free, she has believe that it will help to raise the Christmas spirit that's lited up in her: the trees will be worth nothing after the Eve of Christmas...
Mr Walter and Charlie, decided to give away the Christmas trees for free to their neighbors and strangers; which brought them blessing and open doors: Mr and Mrs Frank, would not have celebrated the Christmas, if not for the tree that poor Dad and Ms Charlie gave to them; it helped to raise the Christmas spirit...They have been going through a lot this year: Mrs Frank has Cancer and she wasn't doing well, so they decided to call off the tradition of decorating for Christmas and their celebration spirit was down...
They learnt that: no matter what one face in life, you will be missing it; if you are not celebrating the time we have together...
Mrs Cynthia, decided not to celebrate this year, even though, she couldn't break up the tradition of hand knitting a sweater for her daughter, whom she have lost last yearShe wasn't going to celebrate Christmas, until Mr Walter and Ms Charlie came to her door, to give her a Christmas tree, which is reminding her of her late daughter, whom she lost last year: she has always lit up her spirit with the present of the Christmas tree...When Mr Walter and Ms Charlie stood at her door, to give her a Christmas tree, she remembered her daughter and saw her in Charlie: she had to present her daughter's sweater to Ms Charlie, as a Christmas present...
Her daughter, who is her Christmas spirit, was raised back to life:She learnt that what we can get anything that we desire to get...
What about Mrs Smith? She is another one person that got the poor dad's Christmas tree and her marriage was saved from an impending divorce...The year has been a very horrible one for her: she and her husband have lately been going through a lot. Maybe, there is not enough money to get a Christmas tree...
Earlier on, she has been approached by Mr Walter, she declined and turned him down: "No! It's been a horrible year! Why will anyone, even think of celebrating this Christmas; let alone, buy a Christmas tree?"
Those were her comments, she isn't in a good spirit to celebrate the Christmas: she has been going through a lot with her man, her husband; who happens to be Walter's landlord. Poor Dad has wanted to sell the trees, so that he could raise the money he needs to pay the house rent, but Mrs Smith will not buy the tree...But she later got a Christmas tree as a gift from Mr Walter: the poor dad's gift of a Christmas tree, helped raise the Christmas spirit and saved her marriage...
She Wasn't In The Spirit To Celebrate Christmas:She's been having a hard time, it's been a horrible year: she and her husband haven't been enjoying their marriage, they've been quarrelling and fighting over everything, it got so bad; that they decided to divorce...
She was actually going home to sign their divorce papers: the spirit to celebrate this Christmas was gone; she wasn't in the mood. She feels like, no one should even think about celebrating the Christmas. But when she received that tree, it changed her mood; maybe, she didn't have the money, enough; to pay for the Christmas tree...
She got home and told her husband about a total stranger that gave her a Christmas tree for free: "he was selling them, but I wouldn't buy one; and then, he gave me one, instead. His gift, helped raise my Christmas spirit." Hearing about this, the Christmas spirit was raised! They had a change of mind towards their issue of divorce, they found that it's better for them to celebrate Christmas together, than sign a divorce agreement on the Eve of Christmas...
- Do not allow your emotions to get a hold of your thoughts...
- Never you think that it's always going to be about you...
- Always allow others to express their unique thoughts and feelings...
Now, poor Dad hasn't enough money on Christmas Eve, he made Christmas trees for sale; but no one is going to buy...he had to give them away, for free; after all, the trees will be worth nothing, after that night.
